A reader asked, what do I do for income?  

Thanks for the interest!   My income comes from rental properties and "passive income" from the stock market.  I don't have a day job anymore.  I did once and used it to fund my real estate and stocks.

In my view, everything we do is a form of economic transaction, meaning we trade our time or money for something we want.  Here are three examples:

• We spend a day hanging out with friends, and trade time for companionship.
  
• We spend a day at work, and trade time for wages.
  
• We trade our wages for the latest video game.
  

You get the idea.

Was the trade a good one? That is the same as asking if the cost was worth the benefit. This brings me to Men Going Their Own Way:

Is marriage worth the cost under today's laws and social customs?

Is dating worth its cost?

Are you better off spending your time working out and enjoying a hobby, or going club hopping?

Which costs less time and money and provides a greater benefit in the form of getting laid, (1) club hopping, or (2) hiring a high quality escort?

We live in a world where men are literally robbed by the courts because a wife or girlfriend decided to use the legal system against them. Is the risk (which is a form of cost) worth the benefit of female companionship?

Whatever choices you make in your life, I hope the cost/benefit ratio always comes out in your favor.

MGTOW Cooking - Part 2.

The doctors call it "24 hour bug." I used to get it a few times a year. Not anymore - I haven't had a case in six years.

I used to eat in restaurants 7 days a week. Because of a change in my circumstances (living too far from town for a while), I started cooking for myself. My cases of "24 hour bug" stopped happening. It took a while to connect all the dots, but when I did, I stopped going to restaurants, except on special occasions with family or friends. No more casual grab-a-meal dining.

I looked up "cooking" on YouTube and got "About 7,680,000 results." Whatever you can think of, and a million things you haven't, it's in there somewhere.

There is another item to add to the plus side of the list. I get a true sense of accomplishment from cooking. I like mastering a new recipe. I like cooking old favorites.

I cook from scratch. I cook fancy frozen entrees from the upscale supermarkets. I cook from cans and packages stowed away in my pantry. The fridge is full of leftovers waiting for those days when cooking from scratch isn't convenient.

Cooking for yourself saves time and money, and it provides satisfaction. Win-win.

The more money you spend on trivia, the less you will have for things that matter.  Do you like beer, cigars, motorcycles, bar hopping, PUA-ing, any of life's little luxuries?  That money's gotta come from somewhere!

Cable is a special beef of mine. 

Cut Your Cable! Cable TV is costing you money (of course), costing you time (something you can never get back), and causing depression in many people (maybe you). You can always get DVDs or download shows you really love, and it will be cheaper and free of commercials.

No worries! The sports news will be on the internet, broadcast TV, and radio. So will the regular news and weather. Cut the cable. It's a ripoff. 

Fun Project: For a real eye opener, hunt YouTube and blogs for cable horror stories.  First they pick your pocket, then they heap abuse on you.  Don't be a sucker.
