Mindfulness Training

The more you are free to think for yourself, the more able you will be able to Go Your Own Way.

Scientific American obliged us with an excellent article on the subject:

So has YouTube:

Search your favorite bookstores and hunt the internet for:
  • Christian thought
  • Great philosophers
  • Zen and Tibetan Buddhism
  • Oriental martial arts (this is good exercise, even if you don't go for the spiritual stuff)
  • Yoga (ditto good exercise / spiritual)
I have my favorites, but mine might not be yours. Dig in. Here are some inspiring quotes:

"Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes." -Carl Jung

END INTIMIDATION
Start today to build this wise attitude in your mind and spirit. When someone acts like an idiot in an attempt to intimidate you, silently ask him, "Who are you trying to kid?"
In this way you first inform yourself that you will no longer
submit to anyone's tyranny. And it will express itself outwardly
in your speech and manner, sending a warning message to the of-
fender. He will get the message, and you will end intimidation.
